New Rowley and Klocwork launch g2zero

Last week, New Rowley and Klocwork launched the g2zero web site. The goal behind the effort is to create a community built around discussing software quality. Being in the midst of the tech industry, we see the need for improvements in code quality every day, whether its driven by unreliable or underperforming applications or security breaches in sensitive systems. Klocwork, for its part, sell solutions (its core offering is a static analysis tool) designed to root out code defects and enable development teams to find, track, prioritize, and analyze code defects on a project or organization level. Together, we think we can provide enough inisght and expertise to jump start the community.

Looking for some good content and discussions

Image of g2zero Web siteTo get things going, New Rowley and some of Klocwork's folks will be priming the pump -- posting original content or linking to news items, discussions, and events that are related to software quality. While our two organizations will remain in an editorial role (determining stories that are posted, moderating comments if need be), we hope to get out of the role as primary content providers as soon as possible. That, of course, will depend on the community of interested developers, IT managers, and interested parties.

New Rowley will continue to create content in the areas of software development and quality for TechView, but it will also cross-post or publish exclusive articles for g2zero. Given the scope of the topic (software quality), the size of the potential community (all developers and development organizations, as well as interested business people), and the need to address the issues, we expect a robust and lively community to emerge on g2zero and a continuous flow of development-related research from New Rowley.
